Alignment tools are a named group in Schaeffler Lifetime Solutions. Models are not invented here.
Availability on inquiry
The 2024 factsheet places alignment tools in the mounting column next to mechanical, hydraulic and thermal tools. The mounting handbook discusses shaft and housing misalignment as a condition the arrangement must accept, which is the reason an alignment check exists. Neither document, as read for this draft, gives a model list that this page could repeat honestly.
Send the machine arrangement — spacer shaft, cardan, pulley or close-coupled motor — and ask for the current Schaeffler alignment-tool list. FEX will not substitute a remembered model name. Other manufacturers’ alignment tools are not named until a source is verified.
What to include
- Driver and driven machine, distance between shaft ends, and the coupling type.
- Who will use the tool, and whether a manufacturer service is requested as well.
- Any hazardous-area limit on electronic tools.
