Cylindrical roller bearings
High radial capacity, with separable rings that simplify some gearbox and motor assemblies.
Availability on inquiry
Cylindrical roller bearings are used where radial load is high and axial location is handled by the flange arrangement or by a second bearing. Full-complement and cage designs are different parts. The designation tells them apart.
They are a standard construction from Schaeffler and from other makers. This page does not prefer a brand and does not list internal clearance as a universal marine value. Clearance follows the fit, the temperature and the speed of the actual machine.
What to include
- Complete designation, including flange arrangement (for example NU, NJ, NUP) if known.
- Fit on the shaft and in the housing, and the operating temperature.
- Speed and whether the rings must be separable for assembly.
