Deep groove ball bearings
The usual bearing in electric motors, small pumps and fans.
Availability on inquiry
Deep groove ball bearings take radial load and a limited axial load in both directions. Sealed, shielded and open versions are different products. A sealed bearing is often greased for life and, as the Schaeffler mounting handbook notes for sealed or already greased bearings, it is not heated in an oil bath.
Motor and pump inquiries should include the clearance and the seal code, not only the series number. Schaeffler and other makers both publish this family. The maker stays open unless you name one.
What to include
- Designation including clearance and seal or shield suffixes.
- Speed, temperature and the motor or pump frame.
- Whether an OEM forbids a change of grease or seal.
